IUI

I've got a few new family member who I gave my blog link to. So to keep them in the loop, I should probably explain what an IUI is in case they don't know.

IUI stands for Intruterine Insemination. They will take the hubs "specimen" and spin it and put the spermies into a protien solution that makes it easier for them to swim. Then they use a catheter type deal to inject it directly into my cervix so that they have less far to travel and less cervical mucous to swim through. This will, hopefully, make conception easier for us since he has a smaller amount a swimmers and his semenal fluid makes it hard for them to swim.

Now, if we can get me to ovulate, our chances of conception increase....significantly. Haha!

Well explained.

Just a side note here...I call IUIs "turkey basting". :)

Recommend the Great Sperm Race too if they have more questions!!
